Dean Park Pet Hospital

What services do we offer?

The veterinarians and staff at the Dean Park Pet Hospital would love to meet with you and develop a treatment plan based on your pet’s needs to continue a healthy lifestyle. An annual examination is important to assess possible upcoming medical issues. This is also a good time to discuss your pet’s dietary plan and talk about any present behavioural issues. Contact the clinic to set up an exam.

The Dean Park Pet Hospital is a full-service facility that offers Medical, Surgical, and Dental procedures.

Dentistry

As human medicine develops, we continue to learn about the importance of oral care. Your teeth may seem like a small part of your body, but we know that bad dental care is connected to heart disease, stroke, respiratory diseases and pregnancy complications.

Animals are no different. Your animal requires the same attention to its teeth to maintain good health, but it’s up to you to ensure your pet’s teeth are consistently kept clean and healthy. Dr. Sue McTaggart at Dean Park Pet Hospital specializes in dental care, and is committed to offering your pet a long, pain-free life through regular attention to teeth. Dr. McTaggart is a Fellow of the Academy of Veterinary Dentistry, one of the only eleven qualified in Canada. If your animal is acting lethargic, or having trouble eating, Dr. McTaggart can ascertain whether your pet’s teeth are in need of attention.

Just like a human, your pet needs an annual cleaning. Should your animal develop any other teeth-related ailments, Dr. McTaggart has the training to do advanced dental work.
